Feeding the Minds of the Young

Just returned from speaking to a gym full of eager 5th and 6th graders about nutrition and health. An amazing time molding young, healthy minds.
Other than questions like, “Are marshmallows healthy?” and “Which is healthier; twinkies or chips?”, I really connected with a lot of kids in the room and know that if I can change the mindset of one child, it’ll be worth every second.

I was impressed by how much these kids knew about their bodies and their health, but not surprised at how confused they were by all the nutrition inconsistencies they’ve been fed by the media.

Glad to help out. If we all do our part, we can change the health of the next generation.
